廖柏伟✍️

廖柏伟（1948年1月─），普林斯顿大学学士，斯坦福大学硕士及博士。1976年加入香港中文大学，1990年升任教授，1994年起任经济学讲座教授，曾任经济学系系主任、教务长、副校长等职。

现任香港中文大学经济学荣休教授、刘佐德全球经济及金融研究所研究教授及香港亚太研究所经济研究中心联席主任，兼任东亚经济学会副会长。

廖教授的研究专长为应用经济学理论、不确定定理、劳动经济学、行政人员薪酬、金融市场以及中国经济。

人物生平

廖柏伟（1948年1月─）于1971年获普林斯顿大学物理系学士，之后在斯坦福大学获硕士（1975年）及博士学位（1977年）。1976年加入香港中文大学，1990年升任教授，1994年起任经济学讲座教授。廖柏伟在大学曾担任的工作包括联合书院辅导主任（1978-1979）、大学教务长（1982-1986）及经济学系系主任（1991-1995）。香港中文大学的暂取生计划，亦是由廖柏伟等人倡议。

廖教授曾担任香港中文大学副校长十三年，掌领大学财政、资源和大学行政及服务，提高资源运用的效率，并曾协助大学筹建教学酒店及教学楼、开设法律学院等。

廖教授出任多项公职，包括香港金融管理局辖下香港金融研究中心董事，现为前任行政长官及政治委任官员离职后工作询委员会主席。廖教授曾任证券及期货事务监察委员会非执行董事及其辖下薪酬委员会主席、香港特别行政区策略发展委员会委员、航空发展谘询委员会委员、临时最低工资委员会委员，以及行政会议成员、立法会议成员、政治委任制度官员薪津独立委员会成员及长远财政计划工作小组委员。

其妻林洁珍亦是经济学家，于香港浸会大学经济系担任教授。
